Father’s Day Gift

With Father's Day approaching, there are many fun challenges out there to make masculine cards! I created this one for Shelli Gardner's Father's Day challenge over at So Shelli and for the masculine card making challenge over at Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group.

This is the first time I created this project with the Parisian Breeze Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper is the perfect guy and gal paper all in one. Love that it has flowers, but the stripes are perfectly suited for a masculine card! It is just a little bit thicker than the textured cardstock that I first used to create this project, and it was just wonderful to work with. I just love this project and it is a perfect gift for men or women. The photo above is shown with a matching Father's Day card.

Inside this oversized matchbook you'll find three full size cards that contain a monogram and matching envelopes (Shown outside). This is one of those projects that you absolutely have to use Stampin' UP!'s quality envelopes!
When you need a card, just tear it off the perforated strip and take an envelope from the back. Close up the matchbook and it is ready for storage untill you need another one! If you make more than one, the monogram showing through the front is a great way to show what is on each card. So fun!

Project Recipe:

Stamps: Lovely Letters, All Holidays, Great Friend (Occasions Mini Catalog)

Paper: Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper, Chocolate Chip 12 x 12, Whisper White

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons, Soho Designer Brads, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 5/16" Jumbo Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Crop-a-dile, Cutter Kit, Household stapler.

Enjoy!

Circles, Circles, Circles

This is my challenge card for the Late Night Stampers challenge - to use circles in your project! I love circles so this was a fun challenge for me! I thought this Urban Garden Designer Series Paper was perfect for a quick card! I used my brand new Clear Circle Bigz Die to cut the circle right where I wanted it. Is that fabulous or what...I can see some great uses for that die especially when I want to cut pictures for scrapbooking or for card making! I've been wanting to play with the Soho Designer Brads so I brought that out to play today too! I just love how the hodgepodge hardware brad fits perfectly in the middle of that Baja dotted brad! So much fun stamping today! Off to play some more!

Project Recipe - All products Stampin' UP! (Size 5" x 5")
Stamps: One of a Kind
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Urban Garden Designer Series Paper
Ink: Encore Silver
Accessories: Soho Designer Series Brads, Baja Breeze Stitched Ribbon, Bigz Clear Circle Die, Stylized Silver Hodgepodge "genuine" brad, Signo White Gel Pen

Let me know what you think.

Great Friend Card Share

Here is a quick and easy little card that I created for my group of Demonstrators. We have a monthly theme swap. This was my creation for April using the Great Friend set from the Mini Occassions Catalog. The theme was to use your favorite embellishments. I have said in the past that I am not a ribbon girl, but I did use it on this card...so maybe I have a little bit of ribbon in me! I really do like the felt flower fusion and the new brads - so those were definite must haves on this card!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Great Friend
Ink: Whisper White Craft, Chcocolate Chip
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Felt Fusion Too Flowers, 5/16" White Brads, White Tafetta Ribbon

Enjoy!

Fun and Games with a Stamping Twist

Yesterday I got together with 12 fun ladies to play Bunco - Stampin' Up! Style! Even though I didn't play, I so enjoyed being the "Bell Ringer" and I loved hearing all the laughing and hooting and hollering that was going on! Back in February when I held this quarterly event for the first time, I didn't think it would be so popular! What I really like is that I have a wonderful time with these creative ladies whether we are stamping or whether we are just spending time together! Fun is Fun!

I wanted to share the projects that we created yesterday at Bunco! I was inspired by page 152 in the Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalog. I really like the color on color that was shown in the catalog this year - great subtle statements! I also added coordinating corduroy buttons on each of these cards! I just love them so I had to share them with everyone yesterday! Don't you just love how they feeeeeeeeeel? LOL!
Enjoy!

Hostess Appreciation Party Fun

I know it has been almost a week since this party, but I have been recooperating from both the party and the fun Blog Tour! To tell you the truth...I couldn't find my camera to get some of these wonderful pictures off of. ;)

Top Row: Kathy D, Wendy A, Renee P Second Row: Phyllis S, Sally F, Ruby M

When you become a hostess with me or if you join one of my Hostess Clubs you automatically get invited to my annual Hostess Appreciation Party! I usually hold it in April to coincide with my Stampin' Up! Anniversary and it is my way of thanking all my wonderful hostess friends! Did you know I am going on my fifth year as a demonstrator?

This year I invited 58 Hostesses from 2008 and I had 18 wonderful ladies attend my event! I have been holding this at my home for the last 3 years, but I think I will need to start holding it at another venue! We were a little cramped...but thanks to everyone for not complaining one bit!

Top Row: Dawn F, Yolanda G, Jennifer R, Julie C, Carolyn L, Vicki K. Bottom Row: Sheryl A, Peggy S.

I served baked mostaccoli and salad from Portillos, and for some that stuck around, they got to enjoy some of Portillos yummy chocolate cake. How could I forget to serve that?! I gave away 42 brand new Stampin' UP! products from stamp sets to papers to embellishments to all my attending hostesses. Everyone went home with 2 prize items and some went home with 3 prize items. Congratulations to Peggy S who was one of the Grand Prize winners and went home with a brand new Tabletop Paper Cutter, and to Phyllis S who was the other Grand Prize winner and went home with the Define Your Life and Defining Alphabet stamp sets!

All attendees created what I call the "matchbook notecard set" using the Great Friend set from the Mini Occasions Catalog and the magical perforation tool on the cutter kit. I created this project as a special thank you to my hostesses. You may beg or plead but I will not be providing directions for this project - so please don't ask. If you want "in" on some of the FHEO (For Hostess Eyes Only) projects I create you are welcome to join one of my hostess clubs or become a hostess!

Left to Right: Rosario C, Michelle G, Roxanne C

Thank you to you all for making my fourth year with Stampin' Up! a success! You all ROCK!
